Ich habe Philosophie (Magister) an der Technischen Universität Berlin am Institut für Philosophie, Wissenschafts- und Technikgeschichte studiert. Themenschwerpunkte während des Grundstudiums waren dabei Wissenschaftstheorie, Philosophie der Mathematik, Hermeneutik und antike Ethik. Meine Magister Zwischenprüfung habe ich zu diesen Themen bei Prof. Dr. Hans Poser abgelegt.

Im Hauptstudium lagen meine Schwerpunkte auf  der Kantischen Transzendentalphilosophie, der Philosophie des Geistes, der Religionsphilosophie und der Systemtheorie. Meine Magisterarbeit zum Thema „Das Programm der Naturalisierung von Intentionalität bei Fred Dretske“ wurde von Prof. Dr. Günter Abel betreut.

Seit 2010 bin ich am Aufbau einer interdisziplinären Forschungskollaboration „Ludwik Fleck und die Astrophysik“ zwischen Astrophysikern (AIfA Bonn), Philosophen (AIfA Bonn, TU Berlin), Wissenschaftsthistorikern (TU Berlin) und Wissenschaftssoziologen (FU Berlin) beteiligt, die sich mit der Epistemologie astrophysikalischer Forschung befasst. Dieses Projekt wird vom Innovationszentrums Wissensforschung der TU Berlin koordiniert. Innerhalb dieses Rahmens interessiere ich mich insbesondere für die philosophische Reflexion wissenschaftlicher Modellierung und wissenschaftlicher Datenerzeugung, -generierung und –analyse.

Der Name der Gruppe nimmt Bezug auf Ludwik Fleck, einen polnisch-jüdischen Mikrobiologen, der bereits in den 1930ern ein frühes System einer historischen Wissenschaftsphilosophie und –soziologie begründete. Jahrzehnte später, 1962, griff Thomas S. Kuhn Flecks bis dahin weitgehend unbeachtete Ideen auf und entwickelte sie in seinem berühmten Hauptwerk „Die Struktur wissenschaftlicher Revolutionen“ weiter.

I studied philosophy at the ‘Institut für Philosophie, Wissenschafts- und Technikgeschichte’ at the Berlin Institute of Technology. My main topics during the undergraduate studies were philosophy of science, philosophy of mathematics, hermeneutics, and ancient ethics. I did my „Magister-Zwischenprüfung“ (equivalent Bachelor) on these topics with Prof. Dr. Hans Poser.

Key subjects in my graduate studies were Kantian philosophy, philosophy of mind, philosophy of religion, and system theory. My final thesis („Magister“) was on „Fred Dretske’s Program of Naturalizing Intentionality“, supervised by Prof. Dr. Günter Abel.

Since 2010, I have helped to establish the research collaboration ‘Ludwik Fleck and Astrophysics’ as an interdisciplinary project among astrophysicists (AIfA Bonn), philosophers (AIfA Bonn, TU Berlin), historians (TU Berlin) and sociologists (FU Berlin) of science on the epistemology of recent astrophysical research. This project is coordinated by the Berlin Center for Knowledge Research. Within this framework, the topics I am most interested in are scientific modelling together with data generation, reduction and analysis.

The name of the group refers to Ludwik Fleck, a Polish-Jewish Microbiologist, who developed an early system of the historical philosophy and sociology of science in the 1930’s. Decades later, in 1962, Fleck’s until then mostly neglected ideas were taken up and pursued by Thomas S. Kuhn in his famous book ‘The Structure of Scientific Revolutions’.
